We Develop Elite hockey and leadership skills for players that are motivated to make it to the next level. P3 coaches and trainers work with high performance athletes from Initiation to Professional while providing a safe, FUN and challenging environment where players can be pushed outside their comfort zone.

Ryan Hilderman, B.ED., HP1

Owner, Development Coach

Ryan has experience coaching at all levels including Bantam, Minor and Major Midget AAA as well as Junior A. He was twice named the CRAA Coach of the Year. Ryan also has experience in the Western Hockey League as a Regional Scout with the Regina Pats. In recent years, Ryan has shifted his focus to the Coach and Player Development side of the game, creating P3 Sports inc as a vehicle to provide Coaches and Athlete’s with a support system to promote a positive experience within the game of Hockey.

Jarvis Bender

Jarvis is from Calgary, Alberta and grew up playing hockey as a Goaltender in the Calgary Royals organization before moving to B.C. to play 3 years of Junior. Jarvis then decided to focus on his academics and continued his education at SAIT Polytechnic where he studied Business and majored in Accounting. Clinton’s playing career took him through the WHL, BCHL and finished as a SAIT Trojan. Following his career, Clinton got into Coaching Minor Hockey, where he developed a passion for working with young athletes. As a true student of the game, and as a Lead Instructor for Precise Hockey for the past 2 years, he is one of the most sought after Skills Coaches in the area!

Clinton is a great fit for our group and we look forward to him taking on an expanded leadership role at P3 Sports Inc.

Dean Seymour

Skills Coach

Dean Seymour grew up in Saskatoon and played all his minor hockey in the Flyer zone and later for the Saskatoon Contacts of the Midget AAA league.

After 2 all-star seasons with the Yorkton Terriers and a berth in the Royal Bank cup Dean received a Hockey Scholarship to Northern Michigan University. After college, Dean went on to play nine years of pro hockey that saw his career take him from the United States, to Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, highlighted by an invite to the 2001 Spengler cup. Now in Calgary Dean spends most of his time working for Hockey Canada developing  players by sharing the skills and instruction he has received throughout North America and Europe. Dean also values his time with family and friends but especially cherishes the time with his wife Erinn and their two boys Ben and Max.

Jarvis Bender

Hockey Operations Coordinator,  Skills Coach

Jarvis is from Calgary, Alberta and spent his playing days as a goaltender before getting into coaching and shifting his focus towards developing minor hockey players. Jarvis has a unique skill set and has many years of experience coaching both players and goaltenders of all ages. He has served as a Head Coach at the Peewee AA, Bantam AA/AAA and Minor Midget AAA levels. He was named Hockey Calgary’s Coach of the Year in 2015 for all age groups and has worked with Hockey Alberta on a number of occasions, most recently head coaching at the 2018 Alberta Winter Games. Jarvis is also a High Performance 1 certified coach and has spent the last 3 years working as a regional scout for the AJHL’s Calgary Canucks in addition to coaching the Calgary North Stars Sabres Bantam AAAs.

Krister Toews

Director of Goaltending Development

Krister comes to P3 with extensive playing experience as a goaltender in the WHL, CIS, ECHL and AHL.

As a Goaltending Coach for the past 12 years, Krister has worked with goalies on and off the ice including strength & conditioning and mental preparation. Beginning in Winnipeg Krister worked with male and female athletes from minor hockey to AA, AAA, Jr A all the way up to college/ pro Goalies.

Most recently in Calgary, Krister has been one of the Lead Goalie Coaches at World Pro Goaltending, as well as the Goalie Coach and Assistant Coach with the Calgary Inferno in the CWHL.

Myles Bell

Skills Coach

Myles played 5 seasons in the WHL for the Regina Pats, and Kelowna Rockets before being drafted by the New Jersey Devils. He went on to play one season in their minor league system with the Albany Devils and Evansville Icemen before finishing his professional career in Norway’s GET-Ligaen with Stjernen Elite.

Krister Toews

Wally Kozak, B.ED., B.SC.

Director of Coach Development

Wally provides a wealth of knowledge to the P3 Sports programs. He combined teaching and coaching high school sports and running hockey schools for over 25 years. He has coached every level of hockey and has contributed to Hockey Canada’s certification programs with age appropriate curriculum and a “ Right Start” video for teaching foundational skills. Wally was a Defensive Skills Coach with the 1988 Olympic team, has coached in 3 Spengler cups, and coached teams in the 1998 and 2002 Olympics. Wally has dedicated himself to serving the “good of the game”. Wally is an advocate of the development of hockey and life skills through sports.

Darren Halasz

P3 Coach Mentor

Darren has coached at every level from novice to Midget AAA. He has over 20 years experience instructing at development camps and working with players of all abilities. In 2014, Darren was awarded the southern division coach of the year in the AMBHL and in 2016; he was the head coach of the Macs tournament champions NWCAA Flames. Darren has played Major Jr. and CIS hockey has been with the Calgary board of education for over 25 years and is currently teaching middle school in Northwest Calgary.

Morris Lukowich

Morris’s experience as an NHL player provided a foundation for teaching in his Maximum Scoring Edge programs. Morris has worked with Timberwolves teams and provides important ideas on the teaching side as well as practice and coaching communication. Morris was a Key Note presenter at the most recent P3 Sports Mentorship Certification session. He speaks on “Effective Communication for Coaching Success and Excellence”. The power of positive coaching and improving coaching awareness and communication will impact coaches, parents and players providing a positive hockey experience. Morris has completed his Advanced 1 (High Performance) NCCP coaching certification. Morris has attended and presented at many High Performance symposiums. His dedication to playing has transferred into mentoring and coach development.

Tim Bothwell

P3 Coach Mentor

Tim brings 29 years of coaching experience at all levels of men and women’s hockey. He played 500 games in the NHL and 200 in the AHL. Graduating from Brown University as an IVY league all star along with his playing and coaching experience provides a stellar foundation for mentoring with P3. Coaching the National Women’s team to Olympic (Gold) and World (Silver) championships adds to his resume of services. Tim is presently mentoring competitive Teams for P3 as well as gaining experience at younger age levels. He appreciates the importance of providing players with a “Right Start” and P3 looks forward to his role helping coaches and players achieve their goals on and off the ice. Tim is an active course conductor for Hockey Canada’s certification.

Wayne is a former College player with over 25 years of coaching experience at various age and skill levels. He was a coaching member for 3 National College Championships and has completed his Advanced 2 (High Performance 2) Certification. Wayne has 10 years of mentorship and coach development experience.

As a co-founder of JB Performance Training in Saskatoon, Brad helped hundreds of athletes reach their goals through emphasizing proper movement patterns and catering programs to their sport and its’ specific demands from a biomechanical and physiological level. Now, as the owner of Absolute Performance Centre in Calgary, he is looking to continue that trend in a positive and supportive environment.

That foundation includes alignment, mobility and stability, and must address any muscular imbalances, weaknesses and lack of connection. Achieving this level means the body is able to progress safely without fear of injury. Ron has accrued a wide range of athletic, rehab, life and training experiences. He uses these to empathize with and guide clients toward their objectives safely and effectively.
